Thank you all for the kind thoughts and well wishes. I was banded yesterday, but due to some minor difficulties in recovery, they opted to keep me over night for observation.
I knew there would be discomfort afterwards, but for me, it is more than I expected. (and I have had 5 kids and generally tolerate pain rather well)
I'm glad to finally be on the other side.
Edited to add that I was discharged this morning and my husband has taken time off to care for me.
happy things worked out. Will you be going home today? With five kids there, I think I might push for another night in hospital! Good luck and let us know how it all went
ReplyDeleteThanks. I forgot to mention that I am home now. I actually only have 3 at home (12, 4, and 2) The other two are grown and gone. I'm nervous about the younger two trying to jump onto my lap but my husband has taken a few days off work. I know the pain and discomfort will get better.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are home! Welcome to the other side :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you are doing well.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on this journey...we are all here for you.
Welcome to band-land! You should be feeling back up to snuff within a week or two, but it will be better every day along the way.
ReplyDeleteHopefully your husband can help keep the littles from being too rough on you, though I know it's hard.
:)
Welcome to Bandland! I promise it gets better!
ReplyDeleteCongrats. Hope the rest of your recovery is smooth from here on out.
